We've been doing some work here at Sherrod Studio to get everything ready to reveal to you all. We hope to have everything done by next Friday. At this time, the menu is up but the links are all not in place until we are finished working on the site.

Hope your weekend is off to a great start. We have been planning some new things to go with our pattern line and working on our website. We hope to finish the site and have it online after our kids go back to school.

Today, I need help choosing my logo/blog badge. I don't know which one to use. I put the banner up for this site and created these two smaller ones for my blog but I can't decide. Any suggestions?

Tuesday Throwdown #31

It's Tuesday and that means times for another Tuesday Throwdown. The challenge is background stamping. This is to much fun to do. I love using stamps to create my own patterned paper. This week Mark's Finest Papers gave the DT various stamps to use from their designer clear stamp collection. I love my set! It's has wonderful friendship sentiments paired with fruits and cute little bug stamps. I stamped the berries all over then used coloring pencils to color in the image. Don't you love the sentiment? I popped the bee up using 3-d foam tape and I curled up the wings to add more dimension. Welcome back Stampers! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I am back with Tuesday Throwdown's weekly challenge. This week Robyn's Fetish is sponsoring our challenge and have a wondeful digi stamp package to giveaway. On my card I used My Mittens from Robyn's Fetish. I love digi stamps because you can re-size them to fit what you need. It's awesome! The challenge was to use add embossing to your artwork. Since the mittens have hearts on them, I used my Cuttlebug heart folder to emboss the white cardstock. Robyn's Fetish now has digi papers also. I was having printer issues so I could only print out the green leaf paper. I would have used the other digi papers too, but my printer just didn't want to cooperate.

Tuesday Throwdown #29

Welcome to another Tuesday Throwdown! This is our last challenge for the year. We have some fun things lined up for next year and so many wonderful sponsors. You won't want to miss. We will start back in January. Go on over to see our announcement and to check out the beautiful artworks the DT has shared. This week's challenge is a Criss Cross card technique. I love creating cards like these, so much fun! Our sponsor this week is Digis with Attitude and they've got cool stamps with attitude!

Since it's Christmas season, I created a Christmas card. I love these images. I stamped Santa and punched it using 1 3/4" and 2" circle punches. I colored Santa using a waterbrush and ink.

On the insert card I stamped the mantle in Chocolate ink and the stockings in black. I also used a waterbrush and inks to color in the stockings. I stamped the sentiment then embossed the cardstock using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder to add texture.

This is the completed card. I used 3-d foam to pop up the Santa image and finished the cardfront with ribbons.

This week's Tuesday Throwdown's challenge is to create a CAS card. I love clean and simple cards. They are quick to whip up. This week DeeDee's Digis is sponsoring and has generously given the DT their beautiful digis to use. I love this Christmas candle so just gotta have it. I colored it using a combination of coloring pencils and waterbrush. I was able to finish it in roughly 10 minutes. DeeDee is giving away a great prize so go on over to the challenge blog and enter. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with families and friends. We sure did. It's now time to get back to our weekly Tuesday Throwdown. I love embellishments, sometimes alot and sometimes something simple. On my card I used the digi stamp from The Pixie Cottage. Hello Stampers! It's Tuesday Throwdown time. This is week 26 and DeeDee's Digis is sponsoring with a great prize giveaway. This week's challenge is Buttons & Bows. On my card I used DeeDee's digi called Endless Beginnings. I love the sentiment that goes with the image. It says "With God there are no endings, only endless beginnings." I used grey ink to outline the dove and markers to color in the rose. I finished the dove by adding stickles along the outline. I used Fiskars lace punch o the striped background paper then added buttons and a bow. I love textured backgrounds so I used a cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the pink cardstock. It's throwdown time! This is week #25 of our Tuesday Throwdown. This week we the challenge is to create an Inchies theme. Catherine is our sponsor this week. She is a Stampin' Up demo. Catherine provided supplies for the DT to use. My stamps are from the Apple Blossoms set. I love this set, so many possibilities. I used the circle image to create a background on the red cardstock and punched it out using a 1" circle punch. I only inked up a part of the sentiment to use on my card. The stamps were cling mounts so it was easy to see where I was stamping when I stamped the sentiment. Love it! It's Tuesday Throwdown time! This week the challenge is Give Thanks. It's Thanksgiving soon and a wonderful time to reflect on all the blessings that have come into our lives and be thankful not only at this time of year but always. Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is sponsoring our challenge this week and you get to win some awesome stamps. This beautiful pumpkin image is from SNS. I imported the image into my Word document and resized it to the size I would like, printed and colored it using Kohi-Noor pencils. I used a piece of oval chipboard and stamped the sentiment onto it, then sponged it with pumpkin ink. I finished off the card by adding some brads and the orange ribbon. It's time for another throwdown. This week the challenge is Anything Goes. This is just a great challenge. You can create any type of card you would like. DeeDee is sponsoring our challenge and she is giving away some fun stamps from her store. On my card I feel like making a holiday card. I used the snowman image and sentiment from DeeDee's Digis. I shrunk the image to the size I would like then print and colored. I used a 1 1/2" circle punch to punch out the sentiment then cut the top and bottom straight to form this label like shape and matted the sentiment onto the glittery green background paper. The snowflake background on the red cardstock is done using my Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder. Hi Stampers!
It's time for another Tuesday Throwdown! This week the challenge is to use chipboard. I have chipboard but rarely use it so this challenge was great for me to break out my chipboard. I haven't done any Halloween cards this year and since Halloween is right around the corner I pulled out my Halloween stamps to use. I stamped the witch onto yellow cardstock and cut out the circle so it looks like the moon. I stamped and cut out the black cat because what witch doesn't have a black cat right? I matted the sentiment behind the opening of the rectangle chipboard piece to give it some dimension. I sponged the chipboard to color it, pop in some brad to hold it in place and that's it. Tuesday Throwdown #19

Today is Tuesday Throwdown's challenge and the team has created beautiful cards for you to see over at the challenge blog. The challenge for this week is to use Punches. I love using punches to add texture to my cards. There are so many different types of punches to choose from. It's so much fun! On my card I used Meljen's cupcake image, Martha Stewart border punch and the Cuttlebug embossing folder. As always I love coloring my stamped images using Kohi-Noor coloring pencils. It glides on nicely and blends well. Join us with this week's challenge and enter to win an awesome stamp set.

Tuesday Throwdown #18

It's time again for another fun challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown. The challenge is Paper Pleating. I don't use this method often, but it is a super easy one to do. On my card I embossed the Daffodil Yellow cardstock, then I took background paper and scored at roughly 1/2" intervals and fold it back and forth to create the pleats. I then took it to my sewing machine and sewed down all the pleats in straight lines. You can see more details in the second picture. After I stamped my image I added some pearls where the circles are on the image. I cut out the banner and stamped the sentiment onto it then folded the sides in by about 3/8" to create one small pleat on each side. I used 3-d foam to adhere the main image and sentiment onto my card.

It's time for another throwdown! This week over at Tuesday Throwdown we are challenging you to create a card using the distressing technique. We are teaming up with DeeDee's Digis and Operation Write Home. DeeDee is offering up an awesome prize so go on over to the challenge blog to enter and send those awesome cards to OWH for them to send it to our military men and women all over the world.
For this week's distress challenge, I used chocolate ink to distress the edges of all my cardstocks. There are many ways of distressing. You can tear the cardstock, crumple it up and un-fold the cardstock, flick some ink all over the card. Have fun!

can't believe it's been four months since we started the Tuesday Throwdown blog! Time sure flies when you're having fun. This week's challenge is Celebrating Fall. I love fall. It's my favorite time of the year. Living in So. Cal we don't really have four seasons. I miss the crisp fall air and the beautiful foliage. Every year we go up to the pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkin. It's a time we look forward to each year so I created this card using this pumpkin stamp. I used the sketch over at Card Patterns. It's a wonderful sketch, perfect for my card. There's a great prize given away this week for the challenge. Tuesday Throwdown #14

It's Tuesday Throwdown time. This week we are using the Rock 'n Roll technique. I love this technique because it adds a nice dimension to your stamped image. It's super easy too. All you do is pick out two ink colors, one light and one darker, ink up your image in the lighter shade then roll the edges of your inked image into the darker shade and stamp. That's it. Elegant Floral

I stamped this rose a while ago for a project but never used it. I saw a sketch from Card Patterns and thought it would be perfect for the sketch. I sponged the edges of the Top Note die and embossed the Old Olive cardstock. Last I added the ribbon and button. I decided to leave out the sentiment so it can be used for pretty much any occasion.

I decided to participate in a card challenge. I love the sketch provided by Friday Sketchers so I gave it a go. I love the SU wheels. I used Fast Flowers to create the background. I stamped the birdie onto watercolor paper and colored in the image using my waterbrush.

Tuesday Throwdown #13

I don't know what happened to my original post last night. This week's Tuesday Throwdown is all about folds. The challenge is to create a card using more than one fold. I made my card using Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps. I love this cocoa image. There are so many possibilities. On my card I did a tri-fold. The fold is covered up by the striped red ribbon. I colored the image using coloring pencils. BTW...I just found out that the white coloring pencil that I never use is great for removing a bit of color so you can highlight a certain area after you're all done coloring the image. Check out what the DT did on the challenge blog. The samples are awesome.

This week the Tuesday Throwdown is Spotlighting. I have to say that I've never done a spotlighting technique before. It was super easy and fun. I bought this $1 stamp at Target so long ago and I don't think I've ever used it. I thought this would be great to spotlight so here it is. I colored the flower using Kohi-Noor pencils then used my circle cutter to cut out the circles. The sentiment is from CTMH and it's retired. Last week's Christmas challenge was so much fun. I always love making my Christmas cards starting July. This week's Tuesday Throwdown is all about monochromatic cards/artwork. Check out the awesome samples the DT has created on the throwdown blog. My monochromatic card for today is using different shades of gree. I love green. It is one of my favorite colors. I embossed the light green cardstock using the Swirls embossing folder and added rhinestones to partis of the swirls. I then finished the card off with green ribbons. This is pretty fast to pull together.

It's time for another Tuesday Throwdown. This week's challenge is Christmas In July. Every year in July I would get all my Christmas cards ready so I could stay ahead when the holiday comes around. This year I was thinking snow. I miss white Christmases I used to have and the fresh white new snow so as you can tell from my card, it's all about snow. I embossed the blue cardstock with the Cuttlebug Snowflake folder. I stamped the snowflake twice, once for the actual image and the second time to cut the center of the snowflake and stamped the sentiment. I popped it using 3-d foam tape. I using SU's rolling wheel for the snowflakes on the white cardstock and to finish off the snowflake theme, I added snowflake embellishments.

Tuesday Throwdown #9

It's amazing how fast a week goes by. It's time again for our weekly challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown. The sponsor for this week's challenge is Whimsy Stamps. There stamps are so adorable and whimsical. I used the digi stamp called I Love You This Much by Meljen. Once again I used my Kohi-Noor pencils to color. I used two colors this time, a light and a darker shade of blue for the bears. Our challenge this week is paper piercing so I did a bunch of piercings to frame the circle. Here's my trick to getting the holes all lined up just right. Sure wish I took a picture for you to see. I cut a small piece of plastic canvas so I can line up the holes just right. I also do the same thing when I want to line up brads.

Did you all have a wonderful 4th of July? We were super busy, but had fun together. Can you believe we've been doing this new throwdown for 2 months already? This week DeeDee's Digis is sponsoring our challenge and my card uses a set called Happy Bird-Day. The bird is so cute. I used Kohi-Noor coloring pencils to color in the image. The challenge this week is to use stitching on your card. You all know I love to stitch on my card. This time I had to borrow a sewing machine because my vintage one only does straight stitches. The funny thing is that it stitches the zigzag stitches backwards. Try stitching backwards sometime and you'll know what I mean. Anyhoo, on my card I also added stickles to the cupcake for a bit of sparkle. I did re-size the sentiment to fit the punch. That's why I love digi stamps. Hi Stampers!
I am sponsoring this week's Tuesday Throwdown. Due to recent circumstances I decided to launch the stamp line again and offering a few new sets designed by the very talented Manelle Oliphant. You can read more about what happened to us on our stamping site. Our family hopes to raise enough money to replace the important things we use everyday for work and school. This week's challenge is to give your artwork a mosaic look. On my card I used the Friendship Blossoms set. I stamped the solid flower image using a light shade of blue, then the outline I used a darker shade. Our stamps are clear so it was super easy to do two step stamping. To create the mosaic background, I tore the patterned paper into various odd size pieces and sponged around all the edges with black ink. I laid it on a solid cream cardstock, then trimmed when I was done gluing all the little pieces down. I also sponged all the cream cardstocks. It's Tuesday Throwdown time! This week's challenge is to create a card or artwork using black and white and adding a splash of color. I love red so that was my color choice for my card. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder to emboss on the white cardstock. The silhoutte image is from CTMH's Be Yourself set and speaking of CTMH, the prize for this week's challenge is a cute set from CTMH called You Rock. Hello Stampers! It's been a very challenging couple of weeks since our home got broken into. I am back to join the DT for this week's challenge. I had to scan my card for this challenge but I think the scan turned out quite well. This week's challenge is all about dry embossing. I used patterned paper and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the birthday folder. The image is from Glitter Babe's Art Shop who is our generous sponsor for this week's Tuesday Throwdown challenge. What an awesome first challenge we had over at the new Tuesday Throwdown blog! It's time for another throwdown. This week the theme is trees or nature. This was an excellent opportunity for me to break out my CTMH Oriental Foliage set. I wanted to use kraft and green to keep to the nature theme and the bamboo tree to tie everything together. I also wanted to stamp the tree in black to create a silhoutte look. The sketch is from Unscripted Sketches. I love stitching on cards so I did a double row of stitching on the cardfront and the matting on the main image. If you have never done stitching on your card or working to improve your stitches, here's what I do. I use a clear presser foot and there's a marking on the plastic part of the foot that I use as a guide to keep my stitches as straight as possible. On this card, I prettyy much eyeballed the stitches on the black and green cardstock since it's pretty narrow and the marking on my presser foot is too wide to use. I also set my stitch length longer which is about 10 stitches per inch.

Today our Tuesday Throwdown blog went live! The dt and I have been planning and lining up some wonderful challenges for you. This week's throwdown is all about coloring. Choose an image you could color with and go for it. Sweet 'n Sassy is sponsoring this week's challenge. They have generously donated some cute digi stamps for the giveaway this week. Check out all the awesome artwork the dt has created on our throwdown blog and enter to win some cute digis.
On my card I am using Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps's digi called Love Birds. These birds are the cutest. I colored the image using Kohi-Noor coloring pencils. I also did some faux stitching. To do faux stitching, all you do is pierce around the piece of cardstock you would like and using a marker or coloring pencil and connect the dots. I also used the Birds 'n Swirls embossing folder from Provo Craft to emboss the yellow cardstock. I added paper flowers and brads to add the finishing touches to the card.

Laura over at 2sketches4you has created a great sketch for their challenge this week. I have a cute set from SU called Fun & Fast Notes which I don't use as often as I should. I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black in and colored it in with pencils and did a little blending. I threaded the ribbon using SU's slot punch. The sentiments are from CTMH.

Father's Day Card

Father's Day is coming up pretty soon so time to get going now because if I don't it's going to sneak up on me. I found a fun sketch over at Card Patterns to use for my card. I received these Gina K images from WishRAK a while back and thought it would be perfect for a Father's Day card. I used the circle embossing folder from Provo Craft and the wave punch is from Fiskars. I used my waterbrush to lightly color in the anchor and a marker for the rope, added some brads and to finish it off I added the twine and button.

Another Thank You Card

How about another thank you card? PMS has a challenge using one button and a bow somewhere on your artwork. I used this CTMH pre-printed paper for my cardfront. I have coordinating background paper in this collection so I used SU's scallop punch to create the flower. I crumpled it up and inked the edges with Cocoa ink. I adhered the flower pieces with wet glue and then doubled sided tape to adhere it to the cardfront and the button onto the center of the flower.

Well, it's been a while since I've participated in various challenges out there in blogland. I am in need of alot of thank you cards due to dd's fundraiser. I found a great sketch over at the PMS blog and it was something I can whip up really fast. I stamped the flower outline onto the white cardstock. I then stamped it again onto groovy guava cardstock and cut it out, adhered it with glue dot. I added a white nailhead in the center of the flower, added the ribbon using a slot punch and voila done!

Adorable Scrapbook Frame

I love using this Silhoutte paper from CTMH with black and white photos. This is a picture of my daughter when she was in 3rd grade. Her teacher had a professional photographer friend come into the classroom to take pictures of the children and created a collage so they can include it with the school's annual auction gala. The parents were allowed to buy one pose. Sure wish I could buy the other one too because they were both so adorable. On this layout I stitched on the bamboo shapes and I used the black ribbon as stems to create the trees. I distressed the edges of the flower petals and then pinched them to give them some dimension. I stamped the word adorable, distressed the edges then cut them out. I finished the layout with some small white paper flowers and brads in the center.

I love to scrapbook and frame them for my home. Many years ago I had my children's silhoutte done so instead of just putting it into a picture frame, I created a scrapbook page then framed it. I bought the frame at Michael's when it was on sale so got a great deal there. I bought these really big alphabet set from CTMH and used it to stamp and cut out the word PRECIOUS. The paper is also CTMH.

I have been so busy with fundraising projects for my dd that I haven't had the time to do much else and with my sewing machine out of service, there goes the other part of the fundraiser. I have been dying to do some papercrafting but haven't had a chance to do that either. I am sharing this double pocket bag I made because it's the perfect time of year for it. There's alot of graduations going on next month this would make a great gift bag to stuff something into. You could put a gift card in one pocket and a little goody in the other pocket.

ATC Card

We are postponing our Tuesday Throwdown for a bit, but I will still be posting on Tuesdays so I hope you'll stop by to visit. This is my first ATC card ever. It was so small but I had fun making it. I cut my yellow cardstock 2 1/2 x 3 1/2, then the kraft cardstock 2 1/4 x 3 1/4. I used the pail and shovel from the By the Seashore stamp set and the sentiment is from the Tropical Christmas set. I love coloring with the Kohi-Noor pencils. It goes on so nice and smooth. I finished it by adding the brads and ribbons. Rock 'n Roll Thank You

I love this Rock 'n Roll set. It's perfect for boys or girls artwork. I made some thank you cards using this set. I stamped the white cardstock using the drum set image. I also ran the striped cardstock through my cuttlebug using the swirls folder to give it some texture. I whipped this up in maybe 10 minutes.

I needed to make some thank you cards for our son to give to his friends so I whipped up this really quick card. I used the guitar from the Rock and Roll set and used the Coluzzle ovals to cut out the white and red cardstock. I trimmed the red cardstock. Added the ribbon and voila!

Just A Note

Hope your day is going great! I love the Rock and Roll set but haven't used this mic image as much so it was time. I was going to stamp a sentiment on it but decided to leave as is so it could be used for any occasion. I cut out two triangles and pieced them together to place on top of the cardbase. I used Fiskar's Lace border punch on the brown cardstock to place in between the triangle pieces. I stamped the mic onto vanilla cardstock then sponged around the ovals and the edges of the cardbase. I ladded the flourish image to the bottom right corner, added the ribbon and it's done. This card takes me about 10 minutes to whip up.

Happy Friday! I am still on a distressing kick. I pulled out this sandcastle image from the By the Seashore set for my card today. I stamped it using chocolate ink and I also used the chocolate ink to distress all the edges of the papers I used. I created a background using the seashells image on the desert sand cardstock. The card wouldn't be complete with some stitching. I love stitching too. It just pulls the card together when I don't use any other types of embellishments. I forgot about the sentiment. The sentiment is one stamp so I inked them up separate so I can use my circle punch to punch it out. I used foam tape to give it a 3-d look.

Happy Valentine's Day!
I hope your day is a GREAT one. We gave our kids treats and gifts which is traditional for us. This is one of four Valentine cards I made for hubby and our children. This card was really quick to make. I adhered the patterned paper onto the black cardstock pieces. I made a heart template and traced it onto the red cardstock, cut it out and ran it through my cuttlebug for texture. I don't remember the folder's name so I can't reference it here. I really need to label all my folders so I know what they are. I positioned all my pieces onto the cardfront so I can make sure my sentiment would fit, then stamped. Added the ribbon and voila! Done.

This is another quick and simple card for today. I stamped a bunch of hearts and cut them out. I ran the white cardstock through my Cuttlebug for texture. Sorry I can't remember the name of the folder. I took two strips of white cardstock and used SU's eyelet border punch. I used 3-d foam tape to adhere the hearts onto the textured cardstock to give it a 3-D look. That's it. really quick card.

It has been raining cats and dogs for days now. It's still pouring. I was able to sleep in and when I woke up I felt like stamping so since I don't have many Valentine's cards I decided to make some more. I wanted to use non-traditional colors so I pulled out some teal, pumpkin and kraft cardstock to play with. I used pumpkin for the base then I took the kraft cardstock and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Love Language embossing folder. I stamped the hearts on kraft cardstock also. Notice the small heart on the right side? That's from the same large heart stamp. I cut it free form. I adhered the hearts using 3-d foam tape and for the buttons I used medium glue dots since it need to be large enough to hold the hemp in place. That's it! Quick 10 minute card.

I have a card to share with you today. I used the sketch from SCS Wed. sketch challenge to create this card. I used the stamps from Pond Friends. I stamped the image using Memento's Rich Cocoa ink. I then used my coloring markers to color in the water and the leaves. I also randomly stamped the cream cardstock with the dragonly in a light yellow ink (Buttercup-CTMH). I love stitching on paper, it just adds nice detailing to the card. I also love ribbons so have to add that also. That's all for today. Check back tomorrow!!!

This is my clean and simple card for the day. I just couldn't think of a layout today so I whipped this one up really quick. The stamped image is SU's Love You Much set. I used the scallop circle punch to and the eyelet border punch. I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder to create texture on the pink cardstock. I colored the image using markers.

How about something different today? This image is from SU's Animal Cracker set. I received this from WishRAK. I colored this cute squirrel in brown using my Kohi--Noor pencil and blended it with baby oil (tutorial is coming). Hubby is going to edit it for me once the video is done. I used my Coluzzle ovals to cut out the image and the sunflower cardstock. I created the scallops by using EK Success' corner rounder. I punched the holes using a Fiskar hand held punch. I ran the green and sunflower cardstocks through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots and Love Language embossing folder. I decided that the card needs some stitching, so that's what I did. I wrote down what my stitch width and length are on a piece of paper so I don't have to figure out what the setting was for future reference. That's all for now. Have a great day:)

I am going to a baby shower for my friend's daughter today. She is having a baby girl. I whipped this card up really quick last night since I don't really have baby cards laying around. I used my Cuttlebug's Welcome Baby embossing folder and die combo for the white cardstock and the pink sentiment. I ran the sentiment through my little xyron so it's easier to adhere to the cardstock.

I was done making all the Father's Day card I need, but I couldn't pass up a challenge. I told hubby his card was done a long time ago. I will have to save this for another occasion for him. Ok, the Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge was to make a masculine card. I had cut up some paper yesterday that I didn't use, so this is the same color scheme from yesterday so I can use up the paper I had already cut up. I can't remember what the embossing folder is called. Once you take it out of the package and throw it away, there isn't a name printed on the outside of the folder itself.

I love coloring my images lately. I was telling hubby it makes stamping alot more fun, not that it wasn't fun before. Anyways, onto the card. I colored it in using coloring pencils. I added the dirt. I cut the hearts out and used foam tape to give it some dimension. After I put it on, I thought I should have trimmed it down a bit so it doesn't sit too high above the truck, but it's done so I left it alone. I created this card using SCS Wed. sketch.

I am a bit late in posting today, needed some sleep this morning. I was up super late last night trying to get a dvd done for my kiddo's class, but it was not meant to be. It will be done today instead.

I made this card for Card Pattern's sketch challenge. This is my take on monochromatic cards. I love the tree image so I didn't want other patterns to detract from it. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the top green panels. I wanted a really neat looking bow so what I did was attached the ribbon the full length of the cardfront using Terrifically Tacky Tape, then I cut enough ribbon to tie a bow. I then used Terrifically Tacky Tape again and attached the bow to the ribbon.

Yesterday I was at my church's monthly enrichment night and was able to play with some SU stamps. I randomly stamped the flower using sunflower and cranberry inks I brought with me.

I used Mojo Monday's sketch #89 to make this card for Sharon's Spring Has Sprung challenge. I don't use this stamp set (Seed Packets, CTMH) as often so this was a good challenge to participate in.
I stamped the flowers using Memento Tuxedo Black ink then colored it in using Kohi-Noor pencils. I love these pencils, sure wish they add more colors to their selection. I used a corner rounder punch to create the scallops and punched the holes with a hole punch. I punched the scallop circle using SU's punch and I added the large rhinestone brads.

I made this card for the Cuttlebug's Be Inspired Challenge. The challenge was to create a monogrammed gift set or card. I can always use birthday cards so that's what I made. I stamped the letter h then cut it out and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Vine Swirls embossing folder. I used foam tape to make add dimension. I also used the same folder for the cardbase. The vanilla cardstock I embossed using the Swiss Dots folder. The sentiment tab I was punched using SU's tab punch.

I found a blog called 365 Cards through Sparkle's blog. This challenge is for Day 88 and we are to make an anniversary or engagement congrats only, no wedding cards. Today is also SCS' Wed. sketch challenge so I combined them to make this card. I pulled out these cute birds stamp to use for this anniversary card. I stamped it in bamboo then colored in the bird on the right with green. I used my Cuttlebug's Birds and Swirls embossing folder on the purple cardstock. This card was quick and easy to pull together.

A Note For You

I made this card for Sunday Sketch & Stamp's challenge. I used my Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots and Birds and Swirls embossing folder to create some texture for the pink and blue cardstocks. I cut out the circles using my Coluzzle folder and to create the scallops, I used my corner rounder. I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it in using Kohi-noor pencils. I used a Sizzix die to cut the flourish and it needed something so I added some rhinestone flowers.
I am off to school. Today is my last day at school. I will be taking three months off to take care of business. Stay tuned, I will be announcing it next month.

I made this card for Card Pattern's weekly sketch. The smaller pieces of cardstocks are from scraps. I am really trying to use them up but it seems like there's no end in sight. I love the silhoutte stamp set from CTMH that I received a few weeks ago. This is another image from that set. I ran the black cardstock through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. The eyelet and slot punch is from SU. That's all for now.

I used scraps that I have on my table to make this card for Cuttlebug's Be Inspired Challenge. The challenge is to use a butterfly die and embossing combo or hearts die. I didn't have the butterfly die so I used the heart's die instead. I can't remember what the name of the die is, but it's a long rectangle die with a bunch of different hearts on it. I ran the die through my Cuttlebug then used the Swiss Dots embossing folder to emboss the heart. I had some cardstocks that I embossed for another project that I wasn't able to use on so I used it on this card. I used the corner rounder punch to create the scallops and punched the holes with a small hole punch. I am loving the Creme Brulee ribbons I bought from CTMH. They seem to go with everything.

I received this cute image from WishRAK. I colored her in using Kohi-noor coloring pencils and Copic markers. I added some glitter to her crown, hearts and bottom edge of her skirt. The background paper I bought along time ago at Michael's. I still have a bunch of rhinestones left so I added them to the centers of the blue flowers and I used 3-d foam tape to give the image, the flowers, and sentiment some dimension.

This card is for my friend. I used SCS Wed.'s sketch challenge to create the card. I changed it just a bit to fit my sentiment. I used my Cuttlebug's Floral Fantasy embossing folder to emboss the vanilla cardstock. I stamped the flower using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it in using Kohi-Noor pencils. I then cut it out and used dimensionals to give it a 3-d look. I had some rhinestones I bought for another project so I added them to the card to give it some sparkle. The dangle says love on it, but it's in white so it's hard to see in the picture.

Anniversary Card

A classmate of mine needed an anniversary card for her friend's 50th anniversary so this is the one I made for her. The sketch I used is Card Pattern's sketch #15. I didn't have any gold cardstock so I picked up a sheet a Michael's. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the gold cardstock. I randomly stamped a flourish pattern onto the white cardstock using my new Creme Brulee ink. I just bought the ink because I bought some papers to match it but it went really well with the gold cardstock, so happy I bought it. That's pretty much it for the card. My classmate really liked it.

I just received these new stamps and papers from CTMH. Couldn't wait to play with them. The papers are gorgeous. I made this card using a sketch challenge and kraft paper challenge on SCS. I stamped the silhoutte in smokey plum because I just didn't feel like adding black to the card.

I also couldn't decide on a sentiment so I used Just because. Well, I am off to another day at school, can't wait until next month when the semester is over. I get to take a long summer break.

I made this set using Sheetload of Cards sketch in their May ezine which you can download for free. I finally have some Gina K images to use and Father's Day is almost here so I am getting a head start on my Father's Day cards. I colored the image using coloring pencils and I sponged the background with a mix of grey and yellow inks. I think the scrapling would make a great bookmark. It's missing something. I think I will add some embellishments to the corner.

Here's my revised version. I don't think this will be a bookmark due to all the brads.
